Pocketbooks for PAPS Drive

The women we serve are experiencing a very difficult period in their lives. You can help us reach more women and empower them, by donating your lightly used or new pocket books and wallets.

Last year, sixty-percent of our patients experiencing homelessness were women. Five-hundred women participated in informational events focusing on cervical health care.

Cervical cancer affects a significant number of women every year. However, with regular screenings and follow-up care, the disease can often be prevented.

Such a health measure is and should be a priority for every woman. However, the same cannot always be said for women who are unstably housed or experiencing homelessness.

When a woman is experiencing food and/or housing insecurity, those needs often take precedence over health care.

How You Can Help!

The women we serve are experiencing a very difficult period in their lives. You can help us reach more women and empower them, by donating your lightly used or new pocket books and wallets.

They will be made available to women experiencing homelessness when they participate in cervical health education events. These events focus on the importance of an annual PAP exam and encourage women to take charge of their health.

Donations can be brought to our 33rd Street office.

This year, weโ€™re starting our drive early to ensure we have a bounty of bags and purses to distribute!

October 18th is the final day to make your donation, so donโ€™t wait! Join us in the support and promotion of cervical health!
