About HPMD

Each winter, Care For the Homeless and Urban Pathways host a Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day observance. The memorial commemorates those who passed away that year without stable housing.

Homeless Persons Memorial Day

This year, the virtual observance will include reflections, music, eulogies, and a reading of the names of the people we have lost.

We hope you can join us to honor the lives of our neighbors and recommit to the fight to end homelessness. You can register here.

If you would like to submit any names to the Memorial, please email them to policy@cfhnyc.org.

Get Involved

We also invite individuals with the lived experience of homelessness to submit a poem or short story honoring the lives of those that we have lost. We will be choosing one submission to read at the memorial. You can find more information here.

Additionally, we ask that you help us spread the word about the memorial. Please click below to download the flyer. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
