Care for the Homeless tracks and monitors legislation, policy issues and emerging trends affecting homeless people in New York City. In tandem with many national, state-wide, and city-wide agencies and coalitions, we advocate for programmatic solutions to many of the problems homeless people face. Our public policy analysis helps to educate public officials and the general public on issues confronting homeless people today. In this way, Care for the Homeless provides homeless people with a real voice locally in New York City, as well as in Albany and Washington.
