G. ROBERT WATTS
G. Robert Watts is the Executive Director of Care for the Homeless.
Mr. Watts, widely known as Bobby, has 21 years of experience in
direct service, administration, management, development, and implementation
of health and social service programs with and for homeless, mentally
ill, HIV-positive, and substance-abusing populations. He served
on the federal Bureau of Primary Health Care’s Data Workgroup
which determined what data should be collected by all federally-funded
health centers. He was also invited by the federal Health Resources
and Services Administration (HRSA) to train new grantees in two
federally-funded health programs – Health Care for the Homeless
and Ryan White Title III (Part C) – in how to set up their
data collection systems to comply with federal reporting requirements.
He holds a Master in Public Health in health administration and
a Master of Science in epidemiology, both from Columbia University’s
Mailman School of Public Health.
DEBBIAN FLETCHER-BLAKE
Debbian Fletcher-Blake is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over
15 years of experience in clinical practice and administration.
She joined Care for the Homeless in 2006. She is responsible for
overseeing the agency’s health care operations. In addition,
she writes government grants and is the project director for the
HRSA BPHC 330h and Ryan White EIS Part C grants. Debbian has a background
in Chemistry and has worked as a Public Health Nurse prior to starting
her Nurse Practitioner’s career. Debbian is also an experienced
Adjunct Nursing Instructor and preceptor for graduate and undergraduate
Nursing students.
DOUGLAS BERMAN
Douglas Berman has directed the policy, advocacy and government
relations portfolios of CFH since 2004. He leads our collaborative
activities with the health care and homeless services advocacy communities
and serves as coordinator of the NYC Providers of Health Care for
the Homeless, is the Policy Chair of the board of directors of Homeless
Services United, and is a steering committee member of Medicaid
Matters NY. He previously worked in the policy departments at the
Children’s Health Fund and Gay Men’s Health Crisis,
and is an adjunct assistant professor at New York University Steinhardt
School of Culture, Education and Human Development. Doug is founding
director ex officio of the Private Art Dealers Association.
TERRENCE M. BRENNAN
Terrence M. Brennan oversees Administration, Information Technology,
Development and Communications. Terry joined Care for the Homeless
in January, 2011 after 12 years as Vice President of Operations
& Administration for The Bowery Mission in NYC, where he secured
the largest gift in the Mission’s 130-year-history. Prior
to his service with The Bowery Mission, he spent 22 years in the
newspaper business as a writer, editor and publisher. The Mercury
of Pottstown, PA won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing during
his tenure as Editor. Terry is also a published author, his first
novel The Sacred Cipher published in 2009.
LIZANNE FONTAINE
Lizanne Fontaine joined Care for the Homeless in 2007 after five
years working as a nurse on a mobile medical van in Brooklyn, NY.
Her first career was in the law, working as a trial lawyer and in
the field of computer law. At CFH, she helps oversee the work of
our employed and contracted health care providers, supervises their
credentialing and the work of the Health Education team, and serves
as the agency’s Compliance Officer. Lizanne is the Board Chair
of BRIC Arts|Media|Bklyn , a Vice Chair of The Brooklyn Hospital
Center Board and a trustee of Saint Ann’s School.
MEYBOL GERAMITA
Meybol Rivero Geramita joined the Care for the Homeless family
in mid-2011 as Director of Human Resources. Meybol’s extensive
career in HR was based in international banking; her last position
was as Vice President in Citibank’s Latin America Division.
She brings a new perspective in the area of Human Resources to our
nonprofit organization. Meybol is a graduate of CUNY (Queens College
in Flushing, Queens) with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
In her “spare” time she teaches English to an immigrant
population in Elmhurst, Queens while completing the New School’s
(NYC) Certificate Program for teaching English as a Second Language.
