Debbian Fletcher-Blake, APRN, FNP
As a young woman, Debbian Fetcher-Blake, APRN,
FNP promised herself that she would spend her life helping the less
fortunate. Today she is Senior Director of Clinical Programs and
Clinical Administrator at CFH. That means she oversees the operation
of medical, dental and behavioral care at CFH Article 28 clinics,
provides care in CFH clinics, ensures compliance with federal grants,
and that’s just some of it. “I am very busy,”
she says, “But it’s fun too”.
Debbian, a family nurse practitioner and mother of four, is proud
to go home and tell her children about what she accomplished. “Everyday,
no matter how difficult the day is, I can always point to one contribution
I made to society and that’s enough to keep me doing what
I am doing and make it rewarding for me.”
Luckily for the agency, she’s been with CFH for fourteen
years. Healthcare is her passion and her calling, and she feels
there is no population more underserved than the homeless. “It
is just a desire to make the world a better place and safer for
my children,” she says, “I feel I am making a huge public
health contribution. Someday my kids will say, ‘I am glad
she did that’.
