1. CASE MANAGERS shall be responsible for enacting the support, safety, success model of client service, including being trained in and facilitating Motivational Interviewing and Seeking Safety groups. Ability to conduct effective assessment and interventions for clients around housing, trauma-related AND substance abuse issues and program placement.
Qualifications: College degree (BSW preferred) in addition to 3-5 years experience with homeless or similarly disadvantaged people and successful record of working with special needs population.

2. AFTERCARE CASE MANAGERS shall be responsible for enacting the support, safety, success model of client service, including being trained in and facilitating Motivational Interviewing and Seeking Safety groups. Ability to conduct effective assessment and interventions for clients around housing, trauma-related AND substance abuse issues and program placement. Strong experience in supporting the transition of clients from transitional to permanent settings. Ability to work independently.
Qualifications: College degree (BSW preferred) in addition to 3-5 years experience with homeless or similarly disadvantaged people and successful record of working with special needs population.

3. SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELORS shall be responsible for providing alcohol and substance abuse counseling to clients and engaging them in Seeking Safety curriculum, in addition to facilitating their participation in AA, NA, and other rehabilitative groups.
Qualifications: BA, minimum. CASAC required. Experience and familiarity with various treatment options and resources, excellent skills at motivating women to seek treatment. Good individual and group counseling skills. Commitment to homeless people.

4. HEALTH EDUCATOR shall be responsible for reaching out to clients with respect to their health including HIV status and substance abuse and provide education to social service staff about health care issues.
Qualifications: BA required. CHES or credits toward M.P.H. preferred. Trained and experienced health educator with commitment to disadvantaged and poor. Flexible and comfortable in nontraditional setting.

5. HOUSING SPECIALISTS shall be responsible for assessing housing history and independent living skills of clients, working with case work and clinical staff to identify the most appropriate housing options for the client identifying available housing services and resources and maintaining an up-to-date directory of these resources.
Qualifications: College degree (or equivalent work experience) and successful record of lacing homeless in more permanent, supportive housing, Section 8, or independent living settings.

The following staff will be employed by Tolentine-Zeiser Community Life Center and posted at Susan’s Place through a contractual arrangement with Care for the Homeless

6. DRIVERS shall be responsible for transporting clients, as authorized by Social Services staff, to see housing, facilities, programs, or to appointments as needed transporting clients on authorized special trips by Social Services for recreation or education, providing approved transport for staff members when required, maintaining a driver's log of trips, mileage, gas purchases, and maintaining the facility van including inspection, maintenance, repairs, etc..
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED, valid NYS driver’s license and no record of convictions within the last two years.

7. SECURITY GUARDS (5) shall be responsible for monitoring and assuring safety of residents, staff, visitors, property and facility in accordance with DHS and agency policies and procedures and NYS law, checking the identity of all clients, screening of all vendors, visitors, and staff entering and leaving facility, maintaining full and accurate security logs, reporting any security infractions, and filing requisite incident reports.
Qualifications: High school diploma and NYS certification as security guard; good character attested to by job or school references.
